Transferring access codes between Student users

To activate a product on the Richmond Learning Platform, students need to enter an access code for that product.

Each access code is valid for 14 months after activation. During this time, a Training Manager can transfer the product access code to another student, if required.

To transfer a product access code to a different student:

  • Select the Users tab.
  • Select the checkbox next to the name of the student whose access code you want to transfer, then select Edit.*
  • In the Products section of the student's profile, find the Richmond product which you want to transfer, then select Transfer.
  • A box will appear with a list of all the students in your institution. Select the student who you want to transfer the product access code to.
  • Select Transfer to confirm the transfer. The original student will no longer be able to access the materials from this product on the Richmond Learning Platform.

*Important: from September 2015, email addresses are required for all users. If you edit a student profile, for instance to transfer their access code, you will not be able to save changes if the email field is empty. You must enter an email address for your student in that field.
