How do I know if I'm registered in the RLP 2017?

  • If you are a student registered at an institution:
Most institutions have migrated to the RLP 2017. If your institution is one of them, you have likely received communications letting you know of the change to the RLP 2017.

    • If, on login to the VLE (www.richmondvle.com), the platform prompts you to the password change below:
password_change_RLP.JPG... this means your institution has migrated and you are now registered on the RLP. If this is the case, we recommend you read: My institution has migrated to the RLP 2017. How do I login?

    • If, on the contrary, on login to the VLE (www.richmondvle.com) you land on the old VLE dashboard below:
      home_vle.JPG
... this means your institution has not yet migrated, and you are not yet registered in the RLP. If this is the case, we recommend you read: My institution is still using the VLE. When will it migrate to the RLP?

    • Keep in mind the dashboards of the old VLR and the new RLP are very different. If on login to the VLE (www.richmondvle.com) you land on a page like the one below:

...this means your institution has migrated, you have already changed your password, do not need to change it again, and you normally have no problems logging on the RLP.

  • If you are an independent student and use the platform on your own, or if you are a private teacher:
    • If you created your account after August 23rd 2017, you registered directly in the RLP 2017 (never used the old VLE).
    • If you created your account before August 23rd 2017, you used the VLE and as of March 29th 2018, have just been migrated to the RLP. If this is the case, we recommend you read: My institution has migrated to the RLP 2017. How do I login?
